On Wednesday evening, we brought Grandma, Lorri, Riley and Gigi to the Bonde Farm. Once again, we all had a great time! Gary, Carol, Missy and Caitlin – Thanks for the tour, the delicious dinner and pleasant company.
We Tried It….

… and we didn’t drown. We didn’t crash our bikes. And we were on our feet when we crossed the finish line. That’s what we call success.
Huge thanks to Mom, Grandma, Lorri, Mike, Riley, Gigi, Rick, Eric, Sheri, Gary, Carol, Caitlin, Allison, Brandon, Shawn, Lisa (and Ryder!) for cheering us on. Your voices were heard throughout those long 2 hours and they really helped to push us to the finish. Also, we owe a special thank you to our close friend and coach Jana. Jana – you rock. Thanks for the motivation to participate and to “just tri it”! We had a great time and can’t wait to do another tri with you!
We Heart Destination Weddings

We just returned home from a trip to Florida for another destination wedding. Our very close friends, the Farneterson’s, were married on St. Pete Beach at the Tradewinds Island Grand Resort. Needless to say, this was our kind of wedding! The weather was beautiful, the setting on the beach was perfect, the reception was unforgettable, and we had the time of our lives. Thank you to the Farneterson’s for such a lovely wedding trip! and congrats!!!

Ben and Kelly
We just got back from a quick vacation in St. Petersburg, Florida. We traveled for a wedding (more pictures within the wedding post), which created a !great! group of travelers; consisting of college and high school friends. We wouldn’t have missed it for the world. We are exhausted now though – four days of continuous beer before 11 am hits you hard. We can’t do it like we used to!

A basement update…. almost time for carpet! We’re excited. Thus far, all the work done on our house has been with our own bare hands. Laying the carpet was a job we decided to hire out – and I can’t wait to sit back and relax as we watch them do the work. The carpet guys come tomorrow and tomorrow evening I plan to lay on the basement floor for hours.

We Heart Jamaica!

We returned to Jamaica again at the beginning of the month. This time, it wasn’t just the beautiful sea and warm sun and that drew us the fabulous island. It was the opportunity to spend time with family and see Kelly’s mom Vicki (finally) get married to Tom Muck. The wedding was unforgettable, and like all other destination wedding vacations, it was one of the best vacations ever!
Basement Window

This looks like a simple little addition, although this little window box/frame has been consuming a lot of our time lately. Another “pokey” project. It’s finally done and it makes a big difference! Ben built the frame last weekend and Kelly spent the week staining, sanding, and varnishing to perfection. Ben placed the finished product into the window on Tuesday evening. One more item off the list – woo hoo!
